JAKARTA - In the past, many people believe that the shape of the Earth was flat. For centuries, people are reluctant to roam the Earth too much, because they are afraid of falling off the edge of the Earth.
In the book 'Koran vs. Modern Science by Dr. Zakir Naik' by Ramadhani and colleagues explained, Sir Francis Drake was the first to prove that the Earth is spherical when he sailed in 1597.
"Have you not noticed that Allah the night to enter into the day and incorporate daylight into the night and He subjected the sun and the moon each running up to the time specified, and Allah is Aware of what you do," Surah Luqman verse 29,
From the above paragraph, insert the word could mean that changes gradually and slowly from night into day, and vice versa.
This phenomenon can only happen if the Earth was round. For, if the Earth is flat, then certainly there will be a drastic or sudden change from night to day and from noon to night.
The Qur'an also reveals that the round shape of the Earth through the following paragraphs. "He created the heavens and the earth (goal) is right; She put dinner on the day and to wrap the day up in the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running in a given time.
Remember, He is the Mighty, the Forgiving," Surah Az -Zumar paragraph 5. in the above verse, the Arabic word used is Kawwara, significant overlap or circular, such as rolls of cloth turban on his head. Events overlap or circular alternation of day and night can only happen if the Earth is round. (Ahl)
